What is VEX?
VEX is a robotics competition for middle and high school students. These students build and program a robot to complete a different task each year on a 12-foot square field. Two alliances of two teams each compete in matches consisting of a twenty-second autonomous period followed by two minutes of driver controlled play. The object of the game is to attain a higher score than the opponent alliance by gaining points according to the game elements laid out in that year's rules.
