Doing Dean's
Homework 2007
We made it a priority to do “Dean’s homework”
assignments…to meet with our local politicians to
discuss the FIRST programs.

We completed “Dean’s homework” from the 07 kick-off to
write letters to our politicians to inform them about
FIRST and to invite them to our WI Regional. Each team
member wrote to Senator Russ Feingold, Senator Herb
Kohl, Congresswoman Gwen Moore, and Governor Jim Doyle. |

We met with our congresswomen is Gwen Moore. She was
excited to hear about what we were doing to promote the
study of math, science, and technology in our city. We
demonstrated and explained our robot to her, and even
had her get her hands on the controls! |

We worked with Mayor Barrett to have an official
Proclamation made declaring December 3rd , 2006,
Robotics Day in the City of Milwaukee. |
